Our Construction Company
I.C.E. (Icodomichès che Comaturghichès Ergasìes), owned by Ilias Spiru, is a construction company that has been operating on the island for over 25 years in the building of houses, execution of public works, earthmoving, renovation, and maintenance of villas and apartments.
Speciality in the construction and restoration
We are specialists in the construction and restoration of homes, working with the traditional techniques and materials that characterize the island’s residential architecture. Dry-stone walls, traditional plasters, hand-hammered stonework, roofs with original reclaimed antique tiles, stone paving, olive-wood lintels, wells, stone fireplaces, outdoor terracotta and clay ovens, cocciopesto floors, wooden plank flooring, and stone flooring.

Our construction sites represent the heart of our work: for 25 years we have built and restored using traditional methods that respect both the environment and the architectural heritage of the island. This long-standing commitment has resulted in numerous projects that showcase our craftsmanship and dedication.
CONSTRUCTION SITES
Means and materials
Our materials reach the island through regular shipments carried by large barges leaving from Igoumenitsa, transporting everything from sand and cement to beams, stones, and insulation. These supplies originate from different regions of Greece and occasionally from Italy, with trucks converging at the port to be loaded for their journey to the island.
